Where is free will?
“We have very little say over what happens in our lives. We have absolutely say what our experience of that is. Not being in touch with this, we blame other people, politicians, circumstances for our suffering and continue to suffer. Realizing this, we can find peace even in extreme hardships.”

Deep Take on a Hot Take (Systemic): The American political system thrives on greed, inequality, and corruption—realities that transcend party lines. The division between left and right isn’t just ideological; it’s a mechanism of control. By stoking conflict, the system distracts from real structural change, keeping citizens focused on fighting each other while democracy erodes beneath them.
I Project My Own Accountability Failures on Trump
Hot Take: Donald Trump is a direct threat to democracy—not just in the U.S., but globally. His obsession with power, fueled by narcissism and greed, remains unchecked, and if it continues, the world as we know it may unravel.

Deep Take on a Hot Take (Personal): My fixation on external systems—government corruption, political dysfunction, and institutional greed—mirrors my own avoidance of internal accountability. It’s easier to blame the world’s problems on corrupt leaders and corporations than to confront my own tendencies toward greed, control, and complacency. If I don’t take responsibility for my own role in the world’s dysfunction, then I, like the system I criticize, am complicit in its decline.

Community Building as Process not Outcome
(post)modern people don't know how to build community, and their efforts predictably fail. Here are a few of the reasons I can see, what are some you see? People (1) expect things too fast instead of process-orientation a la Christopher Alexander, (2) expect things too easy instead of putting their sweat equity in, and (3) people think they have to sacrifice themselves for others, or others for themselves, instead of looking for where both win

Foreign Policy Privilege
Americans don't think enough about foreign policy. We're ironically worried about privilege, but this is the biggest privilege of all. Deeper cut—when we divorce ourselves from our more base, animal nature we undercut the foundations of the society that can be more inclusive."

Data privacy isn't a luxury, it's a basic ethical commitment like 'don't steal.' Crypto is probably a part of the solution, but it is not THE solution. Our failure to understand this is not because we're bad, but because we haven't grown up yet as a society.
